Warwick Market - Saturday 17th September 2022

Warwick Market - Saturday 17th September 2022

Following consultation with Warwick District Council, we can confirm Warwick Market will take place, as usual, this Saturday, 17th September.

Whilst we remain in the mourning period, it's important to support local businesses, particularly with the past few years of difficulty. It's great we've had approval from the Council to go ahead with this week.

We cancelled all of our markets on Saturday, 10th & Sunday, 11th September, out of respect and to allow the areas to be used for Flower Laying. Many people will have their opinions on this, but we did what we thought was right, along with many other operators across the UK.

Warwick Market will take place on Saturday, 17th September, at full capacity between 9am and 3pm.

The following marks of respect will take place:

  • All Traders and our Market Manager will wear black clothing, with a black ribbon provided by CJ's Events Warwickshire.
  • A two-minute silence will take place at 12:00hrs, and we ask all traders and visitors to pause and reflect on Queen Elizabeth II's life.

Warwickshire Country Council has a book of condolence in Shire Hall.

Autumn Festival - Sunday 18th September 2022

The Autumn Harvest Festival scheduled to take place on Sunday, 18th September, will remain cancelled. At the time of being informed of events not being permitted to take place (Friday 9th September), all services, traders, medical cover, acts and walk-about entertainment were informed of it's cancellation.

Following a consultation from the council on 12th September, it was decided by our Event & Operations Team it would be impossible to get all these services re-booked and pulled back together, as this is a much larger scale event than a market. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.
