Tomorrow’s (Sunday 23rd February) Covent Garden Quarter Market has been cancelled over fears of Strong Winds
A spokesperson for the market said: 'Gusts are forecasted up to 42mph during the early hours of the morning with 32mph being the lowest at some points in the day. These speed limits are well above the tolerance of our stalls, let alone exhibitors products. This has been a very difficult decision, one in which has been debated over the past 24 hours. We have left it as late as possible, as we were keen for this special and exciting market to go ahead. But sadly, the weather has beaten us on this occasion.'

'A number of exhibitors had already withdrawn from tomorrows market before this decision was made.'

'Both the Covent Garden Quarter Team and CJ's Events Warwickshire are disappointed they have been unable to deliver this market, but must put the safety of all involved as a priority.'

The next market will take place on Sunday 29th March 2020.
