With temperatures set to rise this weekend, we're looking forward to welcoming thousands of visitors to our markets and events across Warwickshire and the West Midlands.

Whether you're browsing artisan stalls, picking up fresh produce, or enjoying delicious street food, we want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable day. A little preparation can go a long way when the weather heats up!

💧 1. Stay Hydrated: Bring a bottle of water with you and drink regularly throughout the day. It's important to stay hydrated before you feel thirsty, especially if you're spending several hours outdoors.

🧴 2. Don't Forget the Sunscreen: Protect your skin by applying sunscreen before you leave home, and remember to reapply it regularly throughout the day, particularly if you're out for an extended period.

🧢 3. Cover Up: A hat, lightweight clothing and, where possible, taking breaks in shaded areas can help you stay cool and reduce your risk of sunburn or heat exhaustion.

🕶️ 4. Protect Your Eyes: Bright sunshine can be just as harsh on your eyes as it is on your skin. Wearing sunglasses with UV protection can help keep your eyes comfortable while you're enjoying the day.

🐶 5. Consider Leaving Your Dog at Home: We love seeing your four-legged friends, but during periods of hot weather it's often kinder to leave them at home in a cool environment. Pavements can become extremely hot and, depending on the venue, shaded areas and water may be limited.
