Market Contract Extension

Following a successful tender process back in February 2015, CJ's Events Warwickshire were awarded a 5 year contract to manage and promote the Warwick & Kenilworth retail markets, along with the Warwick & Leamington farmers markets, this was due to end on 31st January 2020. However, Warwick District Council have agreed a one-year extension to the current General Markets Contract with CJ's Events Warwickshire to run until 31st January 2021.

 

Warwick District Council are working towards making the markets even more prosperous for the future and will be designing a new contract to start in February 2021. During this period of redesign, the authority are pleased to announce CJ's Events Warwickshire have agreed to extend the current contract and are looking forward to continuing working with you for the next year.

 

Jamie Walker of CJ's Events Warwickshire said: 'We are really pleased that the markets contract has been extended. As a local, family run business, we love our District which is a great place to live, work and visit. With us operating these markets, we believe we're supporting our vibrant town centres by adding something to them.'

 

He added: 'Markets play a vital part to our communities and we're pleased we can continue our work to support these markets and we look forward to working closer with Warwick District Council to make these markets even more prosperous.'
