The Festive Season gets under way in Lichfield this Sunday, 28 November with events at the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum, live performances from the Switch on Stage, tabletop football on the Market square, children's rides, and a festive market from 10.00am

Live performances start at 2.00pm on the Market Square with Liberty Sign & Shine Choir followed by Jordan Adams at 3.00pm and Lichfield Rock Choir at 4.00pm. The children of Christ Church School Choir will then lead the carol singing from approx. 4.30pm just before the big switch-on. The Mayor, helped by two competition winners from local primary schools will throw the switch and light up the City's Christmas Illuminations at 5.00pm. We are also expecting a special visit from Santa, who will be arriving on stage on the Market Square immediately after the switch-on.

Come and join us for a fun family day to celebrate the start of the festive season

Please note if you are travelling by car that the roads in the City Centre will be subject to a road closure from 9.00am – 7.00pm
