Easter Weekend Weather Update

⚠️ 03/04/2026 at 14:36hrs
Markets for Saturday 4th April are currently going ahead!
We will aim to avoid cancellations unless absolutely necessary, given how quickly the weather can change, at present, markets on Saturday 4th April will be going ahead as planned, however: There maybe an early closure!
Given the wind speeds are manageable in the morning, we believe going ahead is the right thing to do. Our Event Management Team will be monitoring the wind speeds in the morning, and if deemed unsafe, we will close the market earlier than usual, to enable our team to take down the stalls. Currently higher wind speeds aren't forecasted until 14:00hrs tomorrow afternoon.
It's important to stress that we monitor the Met Office and it is the Gust Speed we monitor, and not the general Wind speed.
That said, we will continue to monitor the weather forecast, and if it does change between now and tomorrow, we will share updates as soon as possible via email and our social media channels.

⚠️ 02/04/2026 at 15:31hrs
Our team are closely monitoring the weather forecast for Saturday, 4th April 2026, as strong winds are expected from early afternoon into the late evening. At this stage, all markets and Easter activities on Saturday are scheduled to go ahead as planned, but this may change depending on how the forecast develops. A final decision will be communicated on Friday, 3rd April.
To be clear, this applies to Saturday only. The forecast for Sunday and Monday looks much more favourable, so all markets and Easter activities on those days will continue as planned.
We appreciate your understanding and recommend keeping an eye on our updates here or on our social media channels for the latest information. Your safety, along with that of our traders, staff, and visitors, remains our top priority.
