Kenilworth Food Festival Postponed until 2022
Following extensive discussions with management teams & relevant organisations, it is with huge regret we have been decided to postpone the Kenilworth Food Festival.
Kenilworth Market has been cancelled tomorrow, Thursday 21st January due to Storm Christoph.
Jamie Walker of CJ's Events Warwickshire said: "This decision hasn't been taken lightly, whilst the winds are manageable, it is the gusts overnight and during the day tomorrow in which has raised a Health & Safety concern for us. A yellow weather warning for wind has been issued by the Met Office, with speeds reaching up to 35mph. This totally exceeds the maximum safety limit for our market stalls.
'Whilst we do not want to cancel any more markets following the awful 10 months we have had, safety remains our priority. We have consulted with Warwick District Council and are happy with our decision. We are a responsible company and will not put life at risk to our colleagues, traders or visitors. No traders will be attendance at tomorrow's market.'
Kenilworth Market will return Thursday 28th January 2021.
